I grew up and started my volleyball career in SanDiego when I was 14 years old. Baseball got boring and repetitive so Idecided to take my talents elsewhere... I was a three year varsityletter winner for Mt Carmel High School and I finished 5th at JuniorOlympics in 2004 with my club team, San Diego Volleyball Club. Iwent on to play collegiate volleyball at the University of California at SantaCruz where I was named the 2008 AVCA Division III National Player of theYear. I was a 4-year starter (captain for two of those years) and helpedlead the banana slugs to two Division III Molten Final Four appearances.(2006,2008). My Junior and senior year I was named to the AVCAAll-American team.
This will be my 5th year as a coach of boy’svolleyball in the area and I am more committed and excited than ever. Ilook to bring my knowledge and character to the club again to inspire kidsto keep playing volleyball at a competitive level. I am committedto building an environment that is highly competitive as a way for each athleteto achieve their goals. I look to bring success to my team again byimproving mental toughness, on and off the court, while developing myplayers’ skills from top to bottom through hard work, dedication anddiscipline. My theme for the team this year will beSynergy which will be expressed at practices and shown onand off the court at team functions, tournaments and activities outside ofvolleyball. My main goal again this season to be the top17's team in Northern California and earn our open bid tojunior Olympics.
When I am not coaching I enjoy playing indoor andbeach volleyball at a competitive level. Life outside ofvolleyball consists of being outdoors, golfing, fishing and going onadventures with friends.
