Tryouts
Thank you for your interest in Mountain View Volleyball Club and the boys Power League season. Please read the information below for an update on the start of the 2020-2021 season and tryouts.
August 7th Update:
As of Aug. 7th, NCVA has announced that the tryout window for the 2020-2021 Boys Season will be November 13th - November 16th with a Commitment date of 6 pm on November 17th. Mountain View Volleyball Club is tentatively scheduling tryouts at the following dates and times. Dates and times subject to change in response to COVID-19, Santa Clara County Guidelines, and/or USA Volleyball or NCVA requirements.
MVVC will continue to adhere to all State and County guidelines regarding youth sports and activities.

Tentative Boys Volleyball Tryouts
12's & 13's boys
Friday, November 13th - 5:30 to 8:30pm
14's boys
Saturday, November 14th - 9:00am to 11:30am
15's boys
Saturday, November 14th - 1:00pm to 3:30pm
16's boys
Saturday, November 14th - 11:30am to 2:00pm
17's & 18's boys
Sunday, November 15th - 11:30pm to 1:30 pm
Make Up Tryout**
Sunday, November 15th - 2:00pm - or scheduled during first week of practices
**Please understand that, except in special circumstances, priority will be given to players who attend their age group tryout

NEW: Age Definitions for 2020-2021
18 and Under: Born between July 1, 2002 and June 30, 2003
17 and Under: Born between July 1, 2003 and June 30, 2004
16 and Under: Born between July 1, 2004 and June 30, 2005
15 and Under: Born between July 1, 2005 and June 30, 2006
14 and Under: Born between July 1, 2006 and June 30, 2007
13 and Under: Born between July 1, 2007 and June 30, 2008
12 and Under: Born between July 1, 2008 and June 30, 2009
*Players who were born on or after July 1, 2005 (15 years or younger) who shall neither have completed nor are in a grade higher than the eighth (8th) grade during the current academic year are eligible to play in the 14 and Under division.
