Girls Club
Tryouts

MVVC has 2 distinct Girls Club Programs: Power and Premier. Please see the commitment and competition levels below to select the best option for you.

Please attend one of our pre-tryout clinics to learn more about the MVVC culture and coaching staff.  We are happy to welcome back former USA women's coach, Armen Zakarian as our lead coach.  Please visit our Girls Coaches page to learn more about our coaching staff.

POWER LEAGUE PROGRAM

The Girls Power League Club Program season runs from November to May (or July). Tryouts are held in early November. In November and December, teams practice sporadically focusing on skill development and position-specific instruction.  Regular practices begin in January. Teams practice 3 times a week. Teams will participate in 17 to 24 tournament dates depending on the goals and abilities of each team.

Most teams will complete their season in May. Girls teams that qualify to participate in the Girls Junior National Championship tournament will continue to train through the end of June. Teams must qualify through National Qualifier tournaments or gain an “At-Large” bid through the NCVA region. Teams that do not qualify for this tournament may still choose to attend an alternative post-season tournament. Teams discuss this option individually.

Girls Premier (Area) League Club Program:

The Girls Premier (Area) League Program runs concurrently with the Girls Power League program. Tryouts are held in early November. Teams will practice twice per week and participate in the AAU Premier League and one to two additional tournaments (for 8 to 11 tournament days). The Premier Program is ideal for those interested in more than recreational level volleyball but not quite ready for the time and and travel of the Power League program.
