Santa Clara County Guideline update:
Santa Clara County guidelines state that subject to social distancing protocols and COVID-19 related safety requirements we are able to offer recreational programs for children in stable groups up to 12 children with a change of group allowed every 3 weeks. As a result, we will be adapting our program to run for 2 sessions during summer:
A 3-week session is from June 10th to July 1st and a 4-week session in July.
Groups will be assigned based on information provided by you on the registration forms.
Tryouts are no longer allowed per guidelines.
(If you paid the $25 evaluation fee, we will be applying it toward your eventual fee.)
Thank you for your patience while we do our best to provide a safe and educational volleyball opportunity for your children.
2020 Summer Sand Program:
Based on the recent Covid guidelines of Santa Clara County, we will be running our Sand Program in 2 sessions.
- 3 week session (June 10th to July 1st)
- 4 week session (July - dates tbd)
The focus of the Sand Program is primarily to teach athletes the fundamentals of sand volleyball with the intent to improve the athletes overall skill level, while providing a fun and competitive practice environment.
Kick Offs (Tryouts):
We will NOT be holding evaluations (tryouts) as originally stated. The new Santa Clara County guidelines require that we maintain groups of no more than 12 that cannot be changed for a 3-week period. Players will be assigned to groups based on registrations and previous experience.
Training Groups for the Sand Program will meet for three practices per week. Practices will be geared towards individual player development with occasional competitive days where athletes will be able to apply what they’ve learned in a game-like environment.
TBD based on Covid guidelines. We are hopeful that tournaments will return in the July session.
June - 3 week session = $375 (June 10th - July 1st)(3 per week, 9-practices total)
If you are not yet registered for the sand program, register asap.
July - 4 week session week session - TBD based on updated guidelines and if you are continuing from the June session. More information will be provided later.
MVVC asks that both the parents and players read our Return-to-Play guidelines carefully. It is important that everyone be prepared and responsible in advance for the safety of all participants.
