MVVC Youth Team Training
This program is for both girls and boys from 5th to 8th grade. Our Youth training is designed for players of varying skill levels and for players playing multiple sports who can't commit to a year long season. This is a perfect option for those players and parents who are just getting involved with the club experience. Whether it is your child's first time playing volleyball or they have past experience, they will have a place to learn and compete at an appropriate instruction level. Each team will have at least 10 players with one to two practices a week. Our objective is to provide quality coaching to young athletes where they can improve their all around skills and have a great time. We will be running separate girls teams and boys teams.
Due to current County Health restrictions, MVVC is offering three-week training blocks with stable groups of 12 players. Groups will begin training the week of September 1st and will reset every 3 weeks or until County Health rules change. We anticipate offering 3 consecutive training blocks for a total of 9 weeks of team training. Players will be placed in groups based upon age, grade, position, and skill. MVVC may find it necessary to make adjustments in training groups between sessions until teams are finalized.
Return-to-Play Guidelines / Adhering to Stable Groups of 12
MVVC asks that both the parents and players read our Return-to-Play guidelines carefully. It is important that everyone be prepared and responsible in advance for the safety of all participants.
Santa Clara County Guidelines require camps/clinics for children cannot have more than 12 participants and need to stay in the same group for at least 3-weeks. Players who choose to participate with MVVC’s Training Blocks may not participate in another activity / group except for academic classes / school.
