The vision of Mountain View Volleyball Club is to support student-athletes to reach their highest potential as players, teammates and leaders on and off the volleyball court.


MVVC offers competitive and developmental programs for girls and boys in both indoor and sand volleyball.


MVVC is a nonprofit 501c3. 



Founded in 2009 by Mike Rubin and Brian Wahl, Mountain View Volleyball Club has grown to be one of the largest boys and girls volleyball clubs in the Nation. Located in the heart of the Silicon Valley, MVVC strives to help improve the overall level of volleyball in Northern California in a supportive and competitive community based environment.


MVVC's core philosophies are:


  • Improving the overall level of volleyball in Northern California

  • Providing additional places for boys and girls to learn and play volleyball

  • Fostering a competitive and supportive environment

  • Creating opportunities for youth to grow physically, emotionally and mentally

  • Developing players in the pursuit of competing at the national level


Since it’s creation, MVVC has earned over a dozen awards in National competitions and helped prepare numerous athletes to play at the collegiate level. Currently the club occupies a four court facility in Sunnyvale, CA.


The MVVC community also has access to training which provides opportunities for athletes and people, to develop life long self-sustaining habits of physical, mental, and spiritual well-being, through performance and personal development.


In addition to practice, it’s common to see current MVVC players helping out with youth leagues, completing performance training and completing homework before practice. During the summer months, MVVC alumni flood the gym to rejoin the community, play some volleyball share their love for volleyball. Several current MVVC coaches are former players.
